Privacy Policy

Last updated: November 1, 2026

Meowshift (“the App”) cares about your personal data and work data. This policy explains how the App handles data when providing scheduling, pay estimates, events / to-dos, cloud sync, subscriptions and PRO smart tools.

1. Data on your device

Schedules, pay settings, leave records, events, to-dos and some personalization settings are stored on your device first. Unless PRO cloud sync is turned on, this work data is not uploaded just because you sign in.

2. Account sign-in

You can create or sign in to an account in the App with a supported third-party sign-in service. The sign-in service may give the App the account identifiers it needs, such as a user ID, display name or account information provided by that service. What is actually shared depends on the sign-in service and the scope you authorize.

3. PRO cloud sync

Only when you have an active PRO plan and have turned on cloud sync yourself does the App send your workspace data to Supabase, to provide backups, sync across devices and data restore. You can turn off cloud sync in the App.

Depending on what you enter and which features you turn on, the cloud workspace may include: schedules, working hours, leave types and notes, health-related leave records such as sick or menstrual leave, financial information such as pay and deductions, events, to-dos, your username, profile photo and other personalization settings.

4. Subscriptions and payments

PRO subscriptions on iOS are handled by the Apple App Store, and on Android by Google Play. The App receives and keeps the transaction and entitlement status needed to provide your subscription, such as the plan, status, expiry time and store transaction identifiers. Payment credentials such as card numbers are handled by Apple or Google Play; the App never receives your full card details.

5. Smart tools and payslip cross-check

Meow Assistant voice input When you tap the microphone and record your voice, the recording is sent through a protected backend to a third-party speech recognition service to turn it into a text command. Nothing is recorded for this feature when you're not using voice input.

Smart schedule import On iPhone, schedule images are recognized directly on your device first; the original image is not sent to an external AI cloud service for schedule recognition. Results are previewed in the App first and applied to your calendar only after you confirm them.

Payslip recognition The PRO payslip feature cross-checks using multiple recognition passes, semantic analysis and pay rules. To do this, one processed payslip image and the necessary recognized text may be sent through a protected backend service to a third-party AI service for analysis. If readings disagree or confidence is low, the App flags the fields concerned for you to confirm and never overwrites your data with uncertain results.

Image storage The App doesn't save payslip images to its work-data cloud or general file storage. Requests sent to third-party AI services use settings that don't create application-level content storage; those services may still process necessary service logs under their own data-processing and security policies.

Line-by-line pay check Once a payslip is recognized, the App re-checks amount differences against your schedule, pay settings and the payslip itself. Any additions or deductions on the payslip that the estimate didn't include are listed separately for you to confirm.

6. Notifications

On iOS and Android, event and to-do reminders and shift alarms use local notifications on your device, and their scheduling is managed by the device's system. On iOS, the real alarm (iOS 26 or later) and the PRO Lock Screen countdown are likewise scheduled and shown on your device by its system. The first time you set a reminder, the App asks for notification permission as the system requires, and it asks for alarm permission when you turn on the real alarm; you can turn these off in iOS or Android system settings.

7. Data retention and deletion

You can choose “Delete account permanently” under “Me → Account”. Once the account is deleted, the cloud work data, entitlement data and other data directly linked to it are deleted; transaction event records required by law, accounting, fraud prevention or store transaction audits may be kept in a form unlinked from you. The local workspace on your device is also cleared.

Deleting your App account doesn't automatically cancel a store auto-renewal. If you have an active subscription, cancel renewal through Apple's “Subscriptions” on iOS, or Google Play's “Payments & subscriptions” on Android.

8. Third-party services

The App may currently use third-party services such as Apple, Supabase, OpenAI, Google, LINE and Meta to provide payments, authentication, cloud sync, the PRO payslip cross-check, sign-in or ad measurement. Each of these services handles data under its own privacy policy and data-processing terms.

Ad measurement (iOS): The iOS App uses App Events from the Meta (Facebook) SDK to record app installs, app launches and App Store purchases, to measure how Meta ads perform. The App doesn't ask for App Tracking Transparency permission and doesn't collect the advertising identifier (IDFA); extra metadata such as screen titles and app links is turned off. Your schedules, pay, health-related leave, events and other work data are never sent to Meta.

9. App Store privacy disclosure summary

The App doesn't use your data for advertising tracking across other companies. Depending on the features you actually use, the App Store privacy disclosure may include: name, email address, user ID, purchase history, other financial info, health-related data, photos or videos, audio data and other user content, used for App functionality and account / cloud services. The iOS App also shares product interaction (app installs and launches) and purchase history with Meta for ad measurement.

10. Data security

The App takes reasonable technical and access-control measures, including account authentication, Row Level Security, separated backend permissions and transferring only the data needed. However, no electronic system can be guaranteed 100% secure.

11. Policy updates and contact

This policy may be updated as features, laws or third-party services change. The latest version is posted on this page. To contact the developer, use the App's “Contact support” page or the developer contact details on the App Store product page.
